Patterning Test: Monday

The Grade 6s are finishing up a unit on patterning.  Below are the learning goals for the unit.  Please take some time to chat with your child and/or go over some example patterning questions to further prepare them for Monday's test.

I can find geometric patterns
and represent them numerically.


I can describe in words the pattern made by adding or subtracting a number or multiplying or dividing a number.


I can describe in words the pattern rule for the general term by referring to the term number.


I can make tables of values for growing patterns given in words, and then list the ordered pairs.

I can explain how a coordinate system represents location and plot points in the first quadrant.


I can plot the points from a growing pattern in the first quadrant using a variety of tools.


I can find a term given its term number.

I can find the term number of a given term in a growing pattern given in words, a table of values or a graph.
