GYM CLASS
We've been practicing our volleyball skills in gym class. We are working on three hits, and the correct form for volleying, passing, and driving the ball. Here are some action shots below:
HAUNTED HOUSES
Our Haunted houses were a hit! The primary students were in awe of the creations the Grade 6s made, and to be honest, the staff was as well! Great job Grade 6s! Here are some photos below:
FIRST SCHOOL DANCE
Our haunted house display was followed with a dance for the Grade 6-8 classes! The music was bumping and the kids had a blast!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Today we celebrated the birthdays of the students that graduated another year of their lives while I was away! Happy birthday Emily, Jacob and Andrew!
REMEMBRANCE DAY
We have begun to study Remembrance Day in Literacy class. Today we brainstormed the question: "What is Remembrance Day?" Students worked with a partner and filled out their ideas on chart paper with markers. From there I showed the students the following links. After watching the footage I gave each student a piece of paper and asked them the same question. It was a really effective activity. Pictures to come on their before and after answers. Here are the video links if you'd like to discuss Remembrance Day with your kids:
Students writing their BEFORE responses:
Again. These kids are truly a gift. I am so blessed to be their teacher!
